The SEAGAP Future Leaders Program is a member-driven pathway for emerging leaders to develop their skills, expand their professional network, and make a meaningful contribution to the future of graduate enrollment management.

By completing the program, you can earn SEAGAP Leadership Circle recognition—a visible celebration of your commitment to professional growth, service, and the strength of our chapter.

  • Activity eligibility window: September 1, 2026 – September 1, 2027
  • Complete program requirements by: May 31, 2027
  • Submit your completion form by: September 1, 2027
  • Leadership Circle recognition period: October 1, 2027 – September 30, 2028

How to earn Leadership Circle recognition

Participation is voluntary and open to all SEAGAP members. To earn Leadership Circle status, complete one or more activities in each of the three categories below by the certification deadline.

1. Develop and network

Invest in your learning and connect with colleagues through opportunities such as:

  • SEAGAP Book Club
  • SEAGAP Lunch and Learn
  • SEAGAP State Meet-Up
  • Fall SEAGAP Regional Conference
  • NAGAP GEM Summit
  • NAGAP Professional Development Institute
2. Advocate and serve

Share your expertise and help advance the profession through activities such as:

  • Serving on a SEAGAP committee for six months or more
  • Serving as a SEAGAP State Representative
  • Presenting at SEAGAP or the NAGAP GEM Summit
  • Presenting for a SEAGAP Lunch and Learn
  • Contributing a topic or article for a NAGAP issue
3. Strengthen our chapter

Help SEAGAP reach more colleagues and deepen its impact through activities such as:

  • Referring a new member to SEAGAP
  • Serving as your college or university’s SEAGAP anchor by updating the membership list and inviting eligible colleagues to join
  • Conducting or participating in graduate-admissions research for SEAGAP

Recognition and rewards

Leadership Circle members receive more than a line on a resume. Your commitment will be recognized through:

  • An invitation to a special celebration event
  • A listing on the SEAGAP website’s Leadership Circle
  • SEAGAP swag, including a lapel pin and AeroLOFT® Never Lost Keychain
  • A printed award certificate and a digital certificate to share on LinkedIn
  • Recognition of approximately eight hours of professional development activity

How to participate

  1. Choose your activities. Select at least one eligible activity in each category.
  2. Track your involvement. Keep the requested documentation for each completed activity.
  3. Complete the requirements. Finish your activities by May 31, 2027.
  4. Submit your completion form. Send the SEAGAP Leadership Circle form and all requested documentation by September 1, 2027.
  5. Celebrate your achievement. Approved participants will be notified in mid-summer and recognized during the 2027–2028 Leadership Circle award period.
